IBS Pain Relief without anti-depressants? Natural remedies?
Is there anything I can take for the pain that is commonly found around the house? I will go to the doctor tomorrow and ask for an anti-spasmodic. I noticed it flares up when I go out of the house for a night out – like a knot in my stomach, but excruciating. No diarrhea or vomiting. I used to take, about 2 months ago now, seroquel and celexa for an anxiety / depression disorder which I’ve had for some 10 yrs. Now I started to feel better since about March and I had no urge to use meds anymore. Even tho it’s been awhile, I’m wondering if this is a side-effect of being nervous or stressed and my body is getting used to life without medication? Incidentally, I still do take the occasional clonazepam. Anyways, I only mention all this to give a background – I don’t want to use anti-depressants as a solution as I’ve seen written on some sites.
Probably won’t need medication if you get treatment from a Myofascial Therapist or Naturopath. If stressed or nervous for months, may need 5-6 visits. No meds needed!
